Explore how ML works in the fields of Image Recognition, Product Recommendations, Social Media, Fake News, and Features. After gaining an overview of ML, you will specifically focus on developing a simple Product Recommendation algorithm by using Cosmetics datasets based on: ingredients, rank, price, and effects on the skin.

Practice giving computer instructions with your newly developed programming language -Python on a Google Colab! Google Colab is an easy-to-use online notebook that creates and shares documents containing live code.
Class 3
Harvest Insights From Your Beauty Data
Analyze prices, ranks, skin types, and the chemical components of more than 100 brands available on the market, including CLINIQUE, Sephora Collection, GLAMGLOW, BIODERMA and much more. By the end, we will be comparing ingredients and deciding why some products outperform others.
Class 4
Build a Simple Cosmetic Recommendation
In the final step, you will map out cosmetic items based on their ingredients similarities and give content-based filtering recommendations. Your contributions can help shoppers around the world every day!

What was also very interesting, especially for teenage girls, was how the lab taught that images are manipulated in media and on social media. It is easier for girls to have a positive body image when they understand that the images they see in the media every day are actually being manipulated. This lesson was well reinforced by the girls who learned to manipulate photos themselves with Photoshop.
